The Alamogordo Police Department has listened to citizen complaints about speeding and bad behavior by drivers and launched a Traffic Officer Program.
The results of the first 2 weeks of the program have been released…
In the first two weeks since launching the dedicated Traffic Officer initiative, the department reports they have been engaged in “active enforcement aimed at improving safety on our roads.”
Here’s what has been accomplished in just 2 weeks…
• 6 Arrests
• 96 Traffic stops
• 108 Citations issued
• 8 Crash investigations conducted
• 46 Additional calls taken
This effort is part of the Alamogordo Police Department’s commitment to making the streets of Alamogordo safer for everyone.
