Public Health and Safety Update – Fire Danger Rating Lowered to “Moderate” and All Fire Restrictions Lifted at the Lincoln National Forest
With monsoonal rains setting in across the Lincoln National Forest, rhe fire danger rating across all three of the parks Districts, including the Sacramento, Smokey Bear and Guadalupe Ranger Districts, has lowered to “Moderate”.
All fire restrictions have been lifted as of July 3rd, 2025.
This decision follows careful monitoring of fuel moisture, weather patterns, and fire activity. While the park service is grateful for the improved conditions, please continue to use proper fire prevention methods while enjoying your public lands.
NEVER leave a campfire un-attended.
Drown your fire, stir, and feel until cold to the touch before leaving.
NO fireworks on National Forest Lands.
Smoke responsibly by fully extinguishing before properly throwing away.
